Zithromax is the brand name of azithromycin marketed by Pfizer. The drug is available generically by many different suppliers. The antibiotic is taken orally in form of tablets and an oral suspension. Zithromax works in the same way as the other antibiotics we offer to treat bacterial sexually transmitted infections, i.e. by inhibiting the spread of bacteria. Dosaging Instructions for Azithromycin

To treat bacteriaborne infections of the genital organs, Zithromax is taken as a powerful one-off dose of 1000mg. Take all tablets at the same time with a glass of water, preferrably after having something to eat.

Potential side-effects

Antibiotics of this type are usually well tolerated, however side effects may occur in some individuals. Most side effects are mild and temporary. If you suffer from liver or kidney problems
If you suffer from heart problems
If you suffer from porphyria (a blood disorder)
