Question: A few days ago you prescribed me some Xenical Orlistat 120mg capsules. I read the patient leaflet which I found inside the box and it advises I should associate my treatment with a low calorie diet of which around 30% of calories should come from fat. I have no idea what I should be eating. Can you point me in the right direction?

Answer:Fortunately there are a lot of online resources out there. We would suggest you have a look at the Alli site. Alli is the 60mg lower dose version of Xenical (Orlistat 120mg), so the two treatments work on the same principle: https://programme.alli.co.uk/Resources/Tools/RecipeFinder/ Treatment with Xenical is based on you eating three balanced meals a day. That means that you should always eat a proper breakfast, for example, yoghurt, cereal and fruit. A balanced diet also means you should not leave out any food groups, though you may need to reduce your intake of certain types of “bad foods” like sweets, fizzy drinks and junk food. Good luck!
