Question: why can you not take alli for more than six months and if you stop after six months for a month and start again is that safe ? thanks

Answer:You can take it for a year in fact, that is the rule with Xenical, which contains the same active ingredient as Alli (orlistat), as long as your weight is decreasing you can keep on it. If you stop and start a month later that is fine.
